Baby blue eyes bloom around an old log in this romantic watercolor. This was painted in Calaveras Big Trees State Park at the height of summer. Even in afternoon shade, they are bright spots of light in the big meadow.
All hand-designed, drawn, and painted by the same human—me!
This small painting is 8” x 10”, just big enough to freshen that dark corner of your home.
One day on a walk, I passed this old barn just outside of town. The sun glowed on the hay stored there, and the word “providence” popped into my head. Not just the providence of providing for the future, but a reminder of the earth’s gifts and the care and sustenance it offers us each day.
This watercolor captures that fleeting sense of peace and connection, where nature and time seem to stand still. Whether you hang it in your living room or a cozy nook, this painting brings a sense of grounding, a touch of the divine found in everyday moments. Perfect for those who appreciate the quiet beauty in life’s small encounters.
Airstream travel trailers are the epitome of a comfortable life on the road, symbols of adventure and freedom while offering a luxurious and functional home on the road.
This restored vintage Airstream was painted at Ironstone Vineyards annual Concours d'Elegance. It reminded me of all the camping we did as kids, as well as the retired ladies I knew when I was growing up who lived happy lives in their elegant Airstreams.
This watercolor painting captures the simple, peaceful essence of an Airstream trailer nestled beneath trees next to a lake. The soft, muted tones evoke a quiet moment in the outdoors, and the scene invites you to imagine a serene camping experience, where the only sounds are the rustle of leaves and the distant calls of nature. Perfect for those who appreciate the tranquility of outdoor life and the romance of traveling in an Airstream, this framed artwork brings a touch of that calm into any space.
Mt. Hood rises behind a vintage dairy barn in this watercolor of a spring morning in rural Oregon. I loved the graceful gambrel roof of the barn.
I chose soft, muted tones to capture the peacefulness of the scene. While the barn is real and Mt. Hood is real, this is just a dream of a landscape I had. In my dream, just out of frame, five golden Jersey cows wait for their morning milking. A girl readies for milking with her father before school starts. Outside, hens scratch and murmur at the occasional outburst by the doughty rooster.
Perfect for adding a calm, nature-inspired touch to any room. It brings warmth and tranquility to home decor in your living room, bedroom, or study. Ideal for nature lovers, this artwork offers a timeless connection to the serene beauty of rural Oregon.
This watercolor painting of Mt. Shasta is from the northeast approach from Highway 97. Shasta is California’s mystical mountain, sacred to many.

Bear Valley Nighthawks
By Margaret Sloan
8” x 10” Giclée print from original watercolor
One evening at the Bear Valley Music Festival, I was surprised to see nighthawks boomerang through the sky. I hadn’t realized they lived in the Northern Sierra! But I called the local birding society and they confirmed what I’d seen.
Nighhawks fly at dawn and dusk, eating mosquitos and other flying insects. Because they nest on the ground, they are endangered, and their numbers are decreasing rapidly.
Count yourself blessed if you see them while camping. It’s one of the joys of nature to watch them whipping and flipping in the sky, and if you listen carefully, you might hear the booming sound they make as the wind rushes through their feathers.
This 8” x 10” print is on premium watercolor paper, printed with archival inks.

A Sierra love story, a juniper hugs a granite boulder in the high country. This watercolor painting honors the marriage of tree and stone, unlikely lovers in nature.
I visit this tree and rock frequently in the Sierra, enjoying the company of this unlikely couple. The rock has supported this tree for decades. The tree has protected the rock from the sun, allowing lichens and mosses to thrive on the shaded granite. Together, tree and rock, they form a beautiful partnership.
