Portraits
Margaret loves to paint portraits of humans and other animals, as well as landscapes. She captures the small, intimate moments when the self that lies beneath flashes out and peeks at the world. Those tiny breaks in the hard masks we present to the world show our true soft selves. That is where story begins. Watercolor, with it's brilliant color and transparent qualities, allows Margaret to show the layering and depth of her subjects' personal tales, and makes it the perfect metaphor for revealing the depths of her subjects.
Bespoke Portraits
A bespoke portrait is a tremendous way to celebrate an event—a wedding, birthday, graduation, or memorial—and create a lasting memory of your loved ones. I am available for a limited number of portrait commissions a year.
