It’s never too late to learn to paint.
Watercolor Classes and Workshops
with Maggie Sloan
Learn watercolor in-person the right way. Starting with fundamental skills, you’ll learn to build the paintings you carry in your heart. We’ll focus on landscapes, but you can apply any of these skills to still life or portraits, and rewild your artist practice and create loose, wild paintings.
You’ll have hands-on instruction during class. You’ll go home with written handouts, and access to video demonstrations of topics we learned in class.
Testimonials
“I highly recommend Maggie's watercolor class. “
“Maggie covers all the fundamentals, such as paint density, washes, composition, and values. Even though I'd been painting for about a year I really benefited from her discussions and exercises. I took her class more than once!
“Even though I make use of YouTube tutorials, there is no substitute for having an experienced teacher there in person to demonstrate techniques and watch you paint in order to coach you through difficulties you might be having.
“Maggie's art really inspires me, and she is a patient and generous teacher.” —Holly
“I was honestly pretty nervous signing up—I had no background in watercolor or art at all. She immediately put me at ease. Her teaching style is patient, encouraging, and very grounded. She emphasizes ‘play’ as part of learning, which completely changed how I approached practice. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I felt curious and capable. I left the class feeling like I had a real starting point and the confidence to keep going.” —Allie
