A single deer antler, dropped in the snow, signifies the end of the breeding season in mid-winter. The stag has done his duty (I’m sure it was pleasurable!) and helped create new life that now waits for the rebirth of spring.

As with all watercolors, you’ll want to hang this in a dry spot (bathrooms, with all the water and steam, are not a great place for watercolors). Watercolors will fade when exposed to direct sunlight, so display them thoughtfully, with uv-protective glass.
