Inspired by travels in Belize before it became an international destination, this watercolor of a sunrise is a memory of waking on a caye after a night of sleeping under the stars on a boat dock. We walked across the small island in the morning to watch the sun break her night long fast. She ate the night that still hung over the lagoon and brought another beautiful day.
